Is a Macbook really all it's hyped up to be?

I've been thinking of buying a Macbook but there are so many questions that I feel I still need to answer. So I'm asking for help from all of you experts out there!

1. Is it true that it's hard to find compatible software with the Mac OS?
2. Is it true that the Mac OS is very selective of original software?
3. What are the pros and cons of owning a Mac?
4. Which Mac is best for a regular law student who loves gaming?

Anyways, I'm not saying MAC isn't good. But the only problem with MAC is that, it's very expensive, if you have a little problem with hardware, sa MAC jud ka dapat pa-ilis.. just like the IPODs..

I think you can use mga softwares that are used in Linux OS (i.e. OpenOffice, bash). Kay ang Mac and Linux are all Unix-based OS.

FACTS:
uses intel mobo and processor same as in a WinTel mobile.same memory dimm technology.

ADVANTAGE:

Sleek looks.
OS X. ( which can be installed on any C2D based laptop )
user friendly. ( so are windows XP and Vista )
nice interface ( so are windows XP with themes and Vista's Aero )
over than 4gb ram support ( 64bit OS )...are u putting higher than 4gb in ur laptop?

Disadvantage.

Expensive
Tech support ( u can have a millionman tech supports with windows based notebooks.u may include me )
Softwares are limited..not much on anything.
parts replacements or upgrade limitations.


conclusion..not gud if u dont have PhP 100K.


and a 100K windows based laptop/notebook replacement/mobile workstation will leave a same priced Macbook eating dust in any benchmark.
