BusinessWorld Publishing Corp., in partnership with the Private Enterprise Accelerating Resource Linkages 2 (Pearl 2), is once again staging the “Entrepreneurs Forum Series” in Cebu City.
Now on its third year, the second leg of the forum series for 2007, dubbed “Professionalizing the Family Business”, will be held on May 23 from 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. at the Cebu Parklane International Hotel.
Presentations will be made on “A Family Business: Family Businesses in the Philippines” by Elfren Cruz of De La Salle Graduate School of Business; “Going Global: Expanding the Family Expertise” by Asuncion Maria Sy-Quia de Faustmann, chief executive officer of 7 Castles Inc.; “Money Matters: Managing the Family Coffers” by Soc Yap, owner of Storage Providers Inc.; and “Case Study: A small and medium enterprise that involves all of the Family Members” by Gil Carungay, owner of Avatar and Ronald Yap, owner of Storage Providers Inc.
Other topics include “Third Generation Syndrome: Going through Succession Planning” and “No Monkey Business: Professionalizing the Family Enterprise.”
There will also be a roundtable discussion after the forum, which is free to the public.
