It's for practical purposes. And I don't think people in the future will be confused about dates because everything is still on the calendar.

'been done in the US. there's no reason it can't also be done here. Holiday Economics...to give more work productivity, time for family and boost local tourism...practical.

i mentioned productivity because, how can one be more productive if a holiday falls on the tuesday? you work monday, go on a holiday tuesday, then back to work wednesday. kapoy kaau ni huna hunaon. gi-studyohan na ni mga pre...maypa lunes holiday nlng at least saturday to monday ang imo holiday, mka uli paka sa imo probinsya, then straight work from tues to fri...

how do u confuse it nga naa man tay kalendaryo? sa Tanduay pa man gani ni akoa...ahahaha

we should even be thankful she is the only president to do that since roughly 3 decades ago.

In US and Europe, office and labor work is usually from monday to friday only. they don't work saturday coz studies show that having saturday & sunday as weekend off is more productive for workers and their well-being than a 6-day work schedule. also people will have more time for family, travel, and doing house chores. well, for Japan's 12-hr work day, it's something to think about. job burn-outs are much more possible there i think...

nabuhat lage sauna nga wa ibalhin...mao ra gihapon na bro kng moingon ka nga "nabuhat man gani ug balhin sa uban nasud ngano kita dili man pwede?", or, "wala man nabuhat ug balhin sauna, ngano karon dili man pwede ug sulayan?"

transferring a holiday a day before or after will not mean mawala ang kahulugan...the important thing is we are still acknowledging & celebrating it.

it also doesn't mean that pwede sab nato balhinon ang uban like Holy Week and Xmas. They're world-established holidays. Common sense dictates that we cannot move these holidays to another date of our picking. Only the ones that may be moved could be, particularly our local Phil. holidays such as EDSA anniv., Independence Day, Bonifacio Day, etc...
