ubuntu: nvidia poor resolution

I have problem after installing the driver of my nvidia GeForce FX5200

at first it was normal as 1280 x 800 then after installing the nvidia driver, the maximum resolution is only up to 640 x 480

I tried to search for a solution and end up here.. ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Li...hapter-19.html

but I don't know how to do this, I am needing your support and asking for guidance how to solve this problem.

and post the result here btw check the system > adminstration > nvidia X server settings..

look for the nvidia settings icon sa system.. If you have installed the nvidia drivers it should be there.

You can change the resolutions from there also.
