Two Open Files (linked using vlookup and named ranges)
File1: 1383 kb, 20 sheets
File2: 3651 kb, 14 sheets

CPU Usage <20%
PF Usage 197 MB

Using XP Pro SP2
P4 2.0Ghz 256 Ram

Error only occurs during save process and file->properties with these particular files. Tried opening files on different unit with the same errors. I was thinking memory....

Any excel gurus out there willing to share their opinions/suggestions

try creating another windows account and start running excel from there, if it works, it was your excel settings on the account that has problems, if it doesnt, try detect and repair from help menu.

thanks guys-problem solved. It was some sort of hidden macro in the template, and I had to copy all formulas to a clean worksheet.
