Judge to Officiate a Civil Wedding

Hello Istoryans! I need your help once again. I hope I'm in the right section, if not, mods kindly move nalang.

I'm getting married this August pero wa pa mi kakita ug judge nga mo-officiate sa among wedding. If kinsa to naa kaila nga judge, mangayo unta ko contact # and if possible, referral na sad. Kanang di lang unta mahal mosingil ug fee. Kumpleto na among requirements, naghulat nalang mi sa marriage license irelease.

Some of you might suggest kanang sa Capitol. Raffle man gud ang process didto, so we wouldn't know if a judge is available or not sa among i-set nga date.

Hopefully this thread would also help those who want to have a civil wedding in the future. Thanks in advance for your help! I'm really grateful to Istorya and its members.

By the way... I've seen threads asking about steps in getting a marriage license.

1. Complete the requirements of the Cebu City Health Dept. for a marriage license:
- CENOMAR - 1 orig and 1 photocopy
- Brgy Certification - 1 orig and 1 photocopy
- Cedula - 2010-issued - 1 orig and 2 photocopies
- Birth Certificate (NSO-authenticated, recent) - 1 orig and 2 photocopies
- Certificate of Attendance for the Pre-Marital Counseling - 1 orig and 1 photocopy
- attend Pre-Marital Counseling/Seminar - 1 day (schedule is Wednesday and Friday, you choose); obtain Certificate of Attendance from the Civil Registrar after the seminar.

Fees:
Pre-Marital Counseling - P100
Marriage Certificate - P100 (avoid erasures kay makabayad kag P50 if ipa-usab due to erasures)
Marriage License - P50 (if all requirements are complete and checked by the Marriage Section at City Health)

120 days from the release date. If wala pa mo makasal sa imong partner and the expiry date is up, pwde iparenew, mobayad lang ug minimal fee. I don't know how much though.

Daghan mulang! Gikapoy na gani ko. Wa pa na labot sa kasal mismo hap, requirements pa lang na. Dugang gasto ang bayad sa judge, sa catering, sa venue, ug uban pa. Haaayyyy!

^^lols.. dghan jud dapat i-accomplish nga papeles.. pero at least mana mo ato tanan..

pwede man mayor sis.. kami didto mi sa talisay.. gipapili mi ug date, pero dli weekend kay wlay maka-handle sa mga paperworks (marriage certificate)..

@reginakrys: Thanks sis! Bitaw, we need to have it scheduled on a Saturday man gud kay ang mga bisita from the province, and some will come here from Manila pa. Maikog ko nila maka-absent just to attend my wedding.

@kitine: Daghan na ta sis... just follow the procedure, and everything will be smooth sailing. Basta di sad kuwang sa kwarta payts ra ah!

nakasal namo sis? pwde mangayo number sa judge.. naa nami marriage license but mangita pami og judge..
