Default AMD's Dual Core Athlon 64 X2 Strikes Hard

    http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/20050509/index.html

    Bottomline:

....Here's the bottom line. If we had to recommend a single core processor, the choice would depend greatly on the type of applications in use. But in the dual core arena, though, there is not much that speaks for Intel: go with the Athlon 64 X2.

    oooopppsss!!!!

on second thought a 4 times PRICE difference with a p-d 2.8ghz and x2 4800 is NOT comparable to this reviews:

    http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/200..._pd_820/7.html

check, and tell me is the 4x price diff worth it? i mean x2 4800 with a price tag of four times higher than the p-d 820 core.

lemme hear your thoughts. guess my choice wasnt that bad after all(aside from total electricity consumption blow out! waaaaaaaaah!)
