Default Why the war in Mindanao is never ending?

Why the war in Mindanao is never ending? even though the citizens there and the whole philippines surely hates it?

    Here are my answers:

    1. Its a big business...you cannot stop a multi million pesos business right? Dont we ever wonder where the ammunition came from?
    2. Its not just an ABU SAYAFF, MNLF, or any terrorist. Its also the government. the payroll streches to Government officials to generals to Terrorist leaders.

How bout you, maybe you have some logics about this?

Sad but so true. But to put it in simplier shorter terms the answer would be 'politics'.

war profiteering my friend... war is a really good business... second only to religion. so why put a stop to a good business. keep em' machine guns firing! the sound of gunfire is like the sound of casino slot machines! hehehhee... and the smell of cordite is the smell of newly printed money.

can anybody state a moslem country that is generally peaceful or at least has no tension for war.

then this will probably answer this question.

Religion and politics can each (on their own) bring on friction and tension. Mix them together and you have a recipe for war that is hard to untangle.

oi sir, musta? dili baya ta muslim country and naa bya muslim dominated na countries na wala gubat like saudi arabia, iraq before the gulf war, thailand and indonesia before the 9/11 retals. and most of these countries are more peaceful than the philippines. naa sad uban countries na like us naa muslim minority unrest... mas maayo lang sila mu quell sa unrest kaysa nato.

but i agree with ur point na ang muslim medyo mas taas ug violent tendencies because the koran is filled with passages na dali ra ma misinterpret. but lisod lang sad kaayo nang mga sweeping remarks and generalization as well as religious discrimination kay naa man sad ko mga kaila na muslim from my home town na medyo tarong sad gyud. preha ra na sa mga frat gud... na ma among tanan sa hinangaw sa gamay.

Yes i agree with some of you that its not about faith that makes mindanao's war. Faith is just a tool or alibi to maintain their business. Like the old saying goes " MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL".

The war in Mindanao is never ending because there are the rebels there who are never contented with their lives and they still need to kill people for nothing. I am referring to the Abu Sayyaf. The MILF and the MNLF have understandable concerns, their ancestral lands. They also agree with the conduct of peace negotiations to rightfully address their concern. This month the peace agreement will commence again.

On the other hand, the Abu Sayyaf uses Islam to justify their killings. No person in his right mind will say that his or her religion taught him to kill. The Abu Sayyaf has a different thinking. Not to forget they are associated with the Jemaah Islamiyah who is the biggest terrorist cell in the middle east. We don't know if the Abus are already the members of the JI since they all look the same.

The really almost big break with the war in Mindanao was when Ramos became president. Ramos made peace with Nor Mi Suari, and made the ARMM. After that that was it. The ARMM government didnt make a great effort to maintain the stability of the program and the amnesty that the government have given them. they use the budget for ARMM to buy more guns and ammo.

You see they are not really for peace! they have some hidden agenda they only know.
