Reason why:
He always beat most powerful villains in Universe.
He can multiply his strength 100x or more per level.
He can even destroy a planet(planet busting abilities if he has will to do so.
It was stated that it takes 200-300 kilis to destroy a planet. Since they never specified how large of a planet I'm going to assume (since they were on earth when it was stated) that they meant an average size planet around Earths size.


Goku's Ss1 can destroy: 10-15 planets


Goku's Ss2 can destroy: 20-30 planets


Goku's Ss3 can destroy: 80-120 planets

lel Goku isn't even the strongest in his own anime. SSGSS Vegeta is probably stronger by a small margin. Vegeta's always been stronger than Goku when they're the same form most of the time. then there's the time traveling Whis who holds the title of the strongest in universe 6, and then Beerus the God of Destruction.

and they don't even compare to these guys:

Kami Tenchi(Tenchi Muuyo Ryo Ohki) is omnipotent.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann(titular) throws entire galaxies like a frisbee.
Gemini Saga(Saint Seiya) can spam attacks that can destroy Galaxies, is immortal, can remove a persons's senses and is massively faster than light.
Dark Schneider(B a s t a r d!!) can destroy galaxies, massively faster than light, has magic barriers that protects him from reality warping, losing(lmao) etc. that can be remade(if destroyed) at the speed of light and pseudo immortal as he's complicated to kill.
Giorno Giovanna's(Jojo's Bizarre Adventure) ability/Stand Golden Experience Requiem nullifies attacks and willpower by resetting them to 0 at the speed of ∞.
Enrico Pucci's(Jojo's Bizarre Adventure) Stand Stairway to Heaven can accelerate time in the entire universe until it ends and he recreates it anew. he's also immune to time stops and has ∞ speed.
Natsu Dragneel(Fairy Tail) nakama punch cannot be beat.

yes goku isn't the most powerful and strongest, it is even not beerus since he admitted that there were others that wre more powerful than him. but goku's alliance maybe the strongest of all!
