Default Spanish King to Hugo Chavez: SHUT UP!

Have you seen this on CNN? Hehe.. Saw this yesterday..

This was during an Ibero-American Summit.

During the summit, which was attended by heads of state and government of Spain, Portugal and other former colonies in South America, Chavez disrespectfully portrayed Spain's former conservative prime minister Jose Maria Aznar as a "fascist" which prompted the current prime minister, a socialist, to call on Chavez to show more "respect."

But disrespectful as he is, he continued his tirades adding: "A fascist isn't human, a snake is more human than a fascist."

An irate King Juan Carlos then stepped in, demanding of Chavez: "Why don't you just shut up?"

But the Venezuelan leader carried on, attacking the United States (a favorite target of his), the Catholic Church in Venezuela and the pope. He also accused without proof the United States and Europe of having approved of the failed coup against him in 2002.

Spain's king then stormed out of the conference as Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega stepped up to support Chavez.

Chavez who is popular in his country is seeking changes that would extend his term of office and allow him to seek re-election as often as he wants.

    ^^

I was imagining how Philippine Media would react if this happened here in our country, say, Mike Arroyo would shout on public TV to JDV Jr, "Shut Up"... hehehehehehe...

For sure, CDs with ringtones of "shut up" would be distributed to the people.

By the way, the Spanish media praised the King for what he did..

Well, it's not very surprising for pres chavez. Really a man of the people.

He nationalized venezuela's oil, made an alliance with Cuba where Cuba gives them free aid for oil. Medical workers here from cuba get around more than 822 euros x 62 = 51k PHP. Now thats alot for a third world country.

The president is quite popular among his people, mostly the poor.

He also holds his own show once every week that talks about the problems of his people.

we cant take it against chavez. even if everybody else grew tired of this man's tirade, he would still insist his point. because he believes in it.

*...and his move to extend his term of office, that is.*
