In this age when human lives are endangered, children bear the brunt of assault often coming from older persons and alarmingly from their relatives and parents. Child abuse has many forms and even the subtlest form has a devastating effect on our young people.
This opening pro-life lecture for the year is an opportune time to understand our children especially our students whom we are responsible for not only in the intellectual development but also in the totality of their personhood.
Thus, may we invite you to attend this lecture and learn more from our speaker.
About the speaker: Ms. Pecson has a Master of Arts in Theological Studies major in Pastoral Ministry from Ateneneo De Manila. She is a professional counselor at Gentle Shepherd Consultancy Services, an organization that deals with the prevention, identification, and initial interventions for victims of sexual abuse.
