Complaints against PHOTOGRAPHERS in the streets during Sinulog

I just found this article in the Sunstar concerning some of the spectators complaints against the photographers in the streets. Some say they don't enjoy the festivity because lots of photographers were swarming on the dancers, and all they could see were the backs of the photogs

maybe this could be the end of photogs privileges to be in the streets next Sinulog? hmmmmm....

Not every visitor walked away impressed, however.

Some of those who spent the night in the Fuente Osmeña circle complained they saw only a little because so many photographers were allowed to get close to the dancing contingents.

“We came here to see the Sinulog, but we can’t see a thing because there are so many photographers swarming around the dancers. They should stay in the sidelines so the spectators can still see the performances,” said Letecia Micabalo. She said she arrived at the Fuente Osmeña circle at 1 a.m. yesterday.

A visitor from Davao, Jennifer Santos, said she was disappointed because all she saw were the backs of photographers.

“Nindot man siya pero wala lang gyud mi’y makita. Gubot gyud.

Photographers na lang ang pasayawa (It was nice, but I could hardly see a thing. It was chaotic. The photographers might as well dance),” Santos joked.

Micabalo suggested that in the next Sinulog, the photographers should only be fielded in the Cebu City Sports Complex.

i don't think it'll be the end of photog previleges in sinulog. himo nalang sila dapat ug photogs area similar to the judging area by next sinulog event.

if dili sila kita, ngita tah sila ug lain spot... but hinuon mka bad trip jud na, pero wa ta'y mahimo cz authorized man pud sila mag sulod gawas and mag ali2x....

Sige lang what the photographers shoot daghan maka-kita, handumanan pud sa event, butangan na lang siguro ug spot para sa ilaha, mga eyes baya sa public na ang mga photographers.....

btw, some contingents kay naa naman "countermeasures" regarding the photogs. gi palibutan sila ug mga volunteers ug ropes nya kung naa man maka sulod pagawason gyud.

actually if you try to look at it yesterday... daghan adto sa nagtake ug photos are not registered. ive seen alot of people taking pictures with pns and they are not registered. daghan pud nagyawyaw nga photogs kai focus na kaayo nya mkalit lang ug duol ang spectator to pose with the dancers...
i think that should be addressed first before they can think of fielding the photogs to the grandstand only.
