Default To all professional photographers: Photo Rights.

Asking question to all professional wedding photographers:

When you are being hired by a certain licensed studio as a wedding photographer,
and to shoot only for a wedding service using with your own camera,

-Do you have the rights to use all the post-production photo materials to your own marketing?
-Is it in the moral standard to post it on your own website without giving credits to the studio?
-Is there any conflict of interest in this kind of action between the licensed studio and the hired photographer?

Dunay certain photographer dire sa cebu nga gi hired as wedding photographer sa studio sa akong relatives, bt every time nga mahuman ang event my uncle is very annoyed kay tanan nga photos sa iya client gi post mn didto mismo sa social site sa hired-photographer(of course he has the copies of all raw photos by using hes own camera), with captions name pa sa hired-photographer...tapos tanan na client sa studio kay gi be-freind sa hired photographer...dile ba na siya kind of Pirating Customers?

ok ra ba na? can we help my relative make him understand? he needs help before it will gone to mis-understanding with the hired-photographer.

it depends on the agreement... kung wala agreement about exclusive rights or like he will be working under your watermark or name, mo post ang uban shooter.
mao ni usahay we need to be careful in hiring shooters, aside from di maau ang output, some of them will be using the output for their portfolio at the same time they are earning from you.
not in general ha... naa mga shooters nga professional in terms of output as well as ethics.

and for that photographer, damn !! ungrateful. it's ok that he will post it in his portfolio but to completely claim that it's his and not even acknowledging or even make a sort of advertisement to the studio is completely selfish. and what's worst, he "submarines" the clients .... better put some sugar granules on his lenses and camera sensor

Actually money is not the important sa akong uncle, the point here is ang respeto unta sa ilang professional relationship.

i see... so the main issue here is not only about using the photos even if he/she was only hired by your uncle. ang dive2x diay. hahaha.
impt gyod ni mamili ug shooters, gawas sa lahi2x ug batasan ang output also.
i can remember naa to nag post sa fb nag yaw2x. double booking daw to sila ato nga time, unya kuwang sa tawo, mao ni hire ug shooters..
pag abut sa output kay wala daw klaro ang mga pics. louya sa nang hire kay madaut ang name, pero mas louy ang couple.

Being kindhearted in business always leads to disaster in your favour. I think there should be a distinction on who has the rights to the photos. If it's a collaborative agreement, then the hired-photographer should have the rights to do whatever he wants on the pictures he took. Some agreement that I have come across that some photographers can have rights on pictures that was taken by other photographer/s he is working with.

The guy has the right to network his business somehow.

That's how this industry works. Depends on the agreement. Wait until your uncle's studio becomes similar to Getty Images or AFP then he can command to have all the rights on photos that was taken by his hired photographers.
