Fresh Take was started by Gang Badoy, founder of Rock Ed Philippines, in 2009 when she realized that the group’s growing number of volunteer photographers needed an outlet where they could put their skills to good use. Thus, the idea of a free graduation photofest for high school seniors was conceived. From the start, the project has always put an emphasis on the interaction between volunteer and student. Gang says, “There is no ‘I have more and I’m just handing donations to you’ interaction. There is – however – a ‘wow ang galing mo, congratulations, let me take your portrait’ interaction. Here, (the students) are the stars!”

Now, Rock Ed Cebu brings the Fresh Take project to the Queen City of the South! Because we, too, believe that graduating high school students deserve to commemorate this milestone in their young lives. We celebrate with them and offer them the gift of professional-quality portraits.

This year's Fresh Take happens at the Talisay City Central School and is scheduled on February 23, Saturday, 1:00 - 5:00 PM.

We are looking for volunteer photographers and makeup artists. Not a professional? Don't worry, most of us are just passionate hobbyists. Don't know how to do either? You may also volunteer as a facilitator. Not available on the day? You may lend us your studio lighting gear, donate makeup, or give to our funds.
