Does anyone here, of medical background, know what a nursing home is? What services does it offer? Does is include OB/GYN services? Do we actually have one in the Philippines?

A nursing home is actually an establishment where the elderly are brought to be taken cared of. We call it home for the aged here in the Philippines.

a nursing home is one type of "extended care facility", where one's needs are met in terms of assistance with ADL's or "activities of daily living". people mostly are taken into a nursing home especially if the person has long term degenerative disease such as Alzheimers, or a condition that lasts for a very long time.
