not dvd. it uses the next-gen format blu-ray disc.... wireless controllers up to seven at one time... uses cell processor...

yah its blue ray disc na. dili dvd. u wont be optimizing the use of a ps3 if ur tv is not HDTV. u want to have a ps3 and maximize its capability u have to have HDTV na tv and sound system na 5.1 gyud. if ur tv is just ordinary kay gamay ra iyang difference sa ps2 but u will have wireless controllers lang.

blu-ray is an advance form of DVD...
it uses similar sized disc vcd/svcd/DVD-r/DVD+r/etc...
bluray is a different platform to compete with the HD-DVD format...

again...comes the days of MMCD and SD...batamax and VHS...
now comes blu-ray and HD-DVD...

HD-DVD is an evolution of the DVD format means its more backward compatible.
cheaper. more studios and distribution houses support it. endores and aproved by DVD forum.
however its slower less capacity than the revolutionary blu-ray platform.
now the battle continues and we the consumer suffers!
we suffer from waiting which platform will win out in the end then start investing for that.

the worst thing about blu-ray and hd-dvd war...by the time a clear winner is determined, HVD will have been out in the market to kill them all...hehehe!
