Android VS iPhone

I'm currently employed in a private company. I've noticed that the iPhone team developed faster than us, the Android team.

On my own understanding,
sa GUI lang daan, alkansi na daan ang android kay i-code ang whole na code and positioning sa mga objects... sa iPhone, drag and drop ra.. hahay..

unsay may mas nindot na features sa iPhone na wala sa Android para maka prepare ko...hehe..

iPhone is standardized by apple. meaning, usa ra jud ang iya hardware specs per iPhone version, and almost same ang all versions except for added features and several enhancements. when we talk about the software, apple's very concern with it's user-friendliness. pero mao sd lagi, kinahanglan kag kwarta to fully enjoy your iPhone because of the prices of apps.

while Android is an open-source software only. wala na cla'y labot sa hardware specs sa fone. so, mao nang daghan kaayo'g different screen dimensions, resolutions, processor speeds, memory capacities na dapat i-consider ang user before owning one. pero android has lots of freedom compared to iPhone (for me lang) kay pwede ka-experiment with the OS mismo (ex. rooting).

When it comes to development (considering that you already have all the tools and you're very much comfortable with the languages), winner ang iPhone kay mas dali jud cya. OOP na, MVC pa. not to mention na nindot sad ang SDK kay naa na drag and drop. dili pa sd ka mag hunahuna sa lain-laing hardware specs compared sa android. ang downside aning iPhone development ky ang developer's license which is really costly, and ang ila application guidelines which are very strict. dili ka kapataka'g develop ug application then ibutang dayon sa AppStore. i-screen pa na nila ug maayo.

Ang solution ani bro kay HTML5 and JavaScript... Problem is, daghan naay wrong impression sa HTML5 + JS... Capable man siya sa halos tanan basic functionality sa Objective-C or Java, basta dili lang advanced kaayo...

hala.. wala ka-gets sa bo-ot ipadayag sa TS bro?.. dili tawn user friendlyness sa GUI or applications sa mga phones.. ang iyang ipasabot kay mas dali ra ang pag release sa mga application sa iphone compare sa andriods kay drag & drop lang ang ilang gibuhat naa cguroy gamay nga coding pero... compare to androids it requires alot of coding...

@TS.. kung ganahan ka bro hangyo lang sa inyong boss nga balhin kag lain nga team.. ehehehe. pero para nako ok rapud nang daghan coding ah.. mo gawas lang imong muta nya arthritis ang labas sa kamot.

1. app store is a lot bigger than androids
2. stable ang operating system. panagsa ra mo freeze/lag. i have android phone running on froyo although quicker siya at times pero naa tendency nga mo freeze siya several times
3. media. of course itunes is there haha. large internal memory is also a plus for faster reading of media content.
4. consistent and better UI.
5. hardware quality. solid kaayo tan-awn. buttons are very responsive, for me it's the most responsive multi-touch in the market.
6. BATTERY LIFE! ang android dali ra ma lowbat haha i don't know sa experience sa uban
7. user friendly kaayo ang iphone. even a kid can unlock and send text messages sa iphone lol

Anyway ako ra gitubag imo question kung unsay edge sa iphone over android. afterall android has its edge over iphone also.

what do you mean "i-code ang whole na code and positioning sa mga objects"? im an android developer too, and though i have to agree with you on the hardcore coding thingy of UI, you can always use Graphical Layout. It's a bit difficult but a lot easier compared to editing the the xml source hehe. Yep iPhone is way too easy to develop simply because its standardized just like what the others are saying.
