K9 CARE (Cebu Agility Run Enthusiast) Dog Sport is an affiliate member of PDAA (Philippine Dog Agility Association). It is geared towards the promotion of dog agility as a sport which is also the foundation of other higher dog abilities such as search and rescue, bomb sniffing, protection, and other enhanced dog abilities.
Here in Cebu it has its humble beginning last February of 2008 when a group of like minded “DOG” lovers gathered and shared ideas on how best to fulfill “to the fullest” the life of their pet dogs.
It was then realized that dog agility is one of the best program due to the fact that both the handler and the dog abilities come into play. This enhances the coordination and bond between the two. The group then linked with other groups in the country to seek help guidance.
Last May 29-30, 2010, K9 CARE Dog Sport was able host and participated in the 1st Cebu Dog Agility National Competition which were participated by some national teams such as the K9 Obedience Club of Negros (Bacolod), Agility Sports Group (Davao), Davao Canine Sports Club (Davao), and Western Mindanao K9 Agility Club (Zamboanga).
Club office and training center is located at Katipunan - Tisa Labangon, Cebu City. The group is regularly practicing at Paseo Arcenas Center in Banawa, Cebu City. Those who are interested to train in dog agility dont hesitate to come and visit us.
