Which is better to use to download streaming ?

hello i have two ways using free software to grab this streaming videos.
One of my option is downloading the file flv and the other one is
through File Capturing or screen recording...

Pero ga libog ko kun which is better sa duha. Ky im concern sa file compression
if nindot bah ug quality or asa nila ang nindot ug quality.
Basically through screen recording ky mo automatic na cya ug
convert to avi which is good ( but not necessarily) ky my editor can play some flv files..
Unlike sa firefox addons na flv lang ang e download which is the original file gyud.

Pero na bother lang ko kun asay mas nindot nila ug quality.

Asa mas nice ang download FLV or Streaming captured file which automatically
convert into avi (but not necessarily).

So i got two questions;
1.) if you take the file screen capturing and automatic convert into avi.
Does the file still got a good quality pa rin even if it is already converted
from flv to avi?

2.) Which is better to use, Screen capturing or flv downloader?

same rana ila quality.. bisag imo na e convert ang flv -> avi.. hehe

tryi DL ka vid sa youtube then convert the video to .avi dba same ra ila quality..

bro, gi-store na nila sa ila servers as flv because it is easier to embed and stream this container in web pages using adobe flash. sa pag upload padulong sa server (like uploading to youtube), ibutang ta mp4 or avi imo original video, ila na i-convert to flv para ma-optimize for video streaming. in other words, naa jud mawala nga quality right from the start (the process of uploading the original video then transcoding it to flv). wala na man ka mabuhat ana, maayo pa i-download na lang nimo ang flv kay kapoy maghulat ug stream, hehehe.

by the way, transcoding from one format to another always entails a loss of quality unless mogamit ka ug lossless nga format/container.

how bout kanang sa youtube, kanotice mo ana uban nila videos labi na bago kay naa nay option to watch in HD (or HQ bana), inig ka-download nako sa .flv nga file kay dli lagi pareha ang quality sa HD mode nga streaming? gamay gyapn ang screen, then basag gyapn og quality..

dli diay madownload ang naa sa HD format?
