Also try the Hawker Chan in Chinatown (cheapest Michelin star restaurant in the world, around $2 SGD). Daghan lang kaau tawo woi.

For coffee, my go-to is 'Wang Cafe'. black coffee + toast + soft boiled egg. Most convenient whenever I have a business trip there is the one in Novena Square 2.
