Actually, the first reason was the name Scott was the X-Man Cyclops first name, Scott Summers. Idol nako siya sa una pag elementary, kay wafa iya GF/Wife, si Jean Grey or Phoenix.

Then I happen to know a Robotech rebellion leader, named Lt. Commander Scott Bernard. He was a member of the Mars Base Earth Liberation Force, to liberate Earth from alien captors named Invid.

The Earth Liberation Force, composed of tens of thousands, was obliterated... Except Scott Bernard.

When he landed on Earth, instead of being discouraged and in despair, he picked up what was left, continued on his mission, assembled and organized a resistance group against the captors using guerilla tactics.
