My friend forwarded me this email and I was skeptical to open it, I was thinking another spam emails etc.

But I was intrigued and have found that the email is about me!

i had this friend in college who would ask me kung asa ko ganahan mopuyo. sa way pagduha-duha, i told her "diri sa pilipinas of course". magpang-lingo dayon siya nya moingon "ayaw diri sa pilipinas che oi. wa kay future. ako ganahan na kaayo ko moadto'g states ba ron. naa man didto akong papa ga work." minta makuha na mi niya."

she would always open up this discussion and as always, "diri sa pilipinas gihapon" akong itubag to her question. mobalik napud sha ug ingon nga "wala lagi kay future diri."

after 6 years, we talked again. nagkumustahay. she told me dili na sila pwede mo migrate sa states. so magtigom nalang siya sa iyang work ron, and she plans to migrate to new zealand nalang. i thought nausab na iyang huna-huna about our country, pero desidido gyud diay sha to leave the philippines.

it pains me everytime i hear her say those things. and then i get reminded of another friend who had migrated to the states when she was 16. sige lang ug panikad nga makabisita balik diri sa pinas. she got a degree, a good job. ang iyang gi apply-an kay kana gyung naay branch dri sa pinas aron naay purohan nga ma assign sha diri. now she's happy nga makaari ug pinas bisan because of work lang. bisan nasa makati ang branch office, payts daw gihapon. OK daw kaayo because she's now home.

it is difficult to love pinas. pero i love her gihapon. always.

bitaw ui, just want to let people know especially kita mga cebuanos to stop thinking of earning big and reach the unreachable.

come to think of it, anhe mang retire mga foreigners kay they will have a beautiful life here compared there na mghuwat ra sila mamatay ngadto dre feel teenager pa sila and mura sad mga datu.

oh well...

up up and away ne for tonight para ma enlighten mga tawo...

saon ta man dli....ang minimum wage nga imo i.earn, kulang pa pra mapakaon nmo 3 times a day imo pamilya.

natural, mangita jud ang tao ug pgka.kitaan ug dako pra lng mabuhi ang pamilya.

pra lng nko, as much as possible, di ko mobiya sa Pilipinas.

way buwad o sikwate sa States or in other words, "walang ganyan sa States" wahahahaha ^__^

bisan naa sa gawas we can still show our love for our country by doing our share para molambo sad sila...para ra man sad ni sa atong kaayohan tanan, ugma damlag....

i think, its because we lack national pride. a proud yet poor person will work hard to get out of the gutter. accepting alms and hand-me-downs from others are bitter pills for him to swallow.

we might have different views about this matter. bottomline we want to have a life better off than eating 3x a day and to take care other needs of ourselves, and especially to support the family.

those who are working abroad helped the country through their remittances but some of the families left behind di lang jud maningkamot... huwat lang dawat sa kwarta...

until when those people working abroad will extend help? what about their future?

if you looked within your neighborhood or let's just say each of us know a person or many persons na nag-nursing, nautical and caregivers...or even people nga mo migrate...

if Phils. is that bad, then ngano nagkadatu ang mga datu?

oh well... another point to ponder..

just a reality check. daghan pa man gyud siguro mga pinoy ug pinay nga di gusto mogawas sa pilipinas, even foreigners like it here and want to settle down here. but unfortunately, sa kalisod sa panahon, kinahanglan gyud mogawas, mas dako ang kwarta ug mas daghan ug oportunidad sa abroad. not all people who left and are about to leave philippines does not love the philippines, napugos lang gyud kasagaran ana nila, and they are even the majority.

ang nakaapan lang is not about the people's love for RP but mas prioritize nila ilang kaugalingon, kanang "i don't care as long as im good" attitude, that's what's pulling us down.
