GREAT DIVING SPOTS IN CEBU

Hi all!

Can anybody recommend a great haven for divers in cebu aside from moalboal which is bit outskirt in location.

Im trying to help give info to a friend whose travelling from the states in july and is planning to score fun diving experience in cebu and bohol.This is to be honest not my field of expertise and so im fishing for ur helpful recommendations.

Any advice is appreciated...tks guys!

You can try Malapascua Island in Bogo. It is still an unspoiled location.

i agree. i have been there in cebu once and malapascua was the first place we went to for diving. great beach and perfect diving spot. better than boracay i should say!

ok, pardon my ignorance but im gonna ask again..is ther any nightlife in malapascua , i assume its a real quite island and not touristy so how is it at night? my friend is interested in a little bit of life after dark but definitely not the boracay kind of scene . Maybe just a place to chill out with some music and drinks i suppose.

there is indeed! the night in malapascua is not at all boring. there are bars just around the corner or some resorts host parties...

aduana beach is a great diving spot

a.k.a PIER 1. haha atleast it was when we use to swim at pier. daghang bakasi. anyway i am also interested. I just earn my diving certification nya nindot nang kahibaw ta asa ta muadto kung mauli man gani.

I would say molaboal.. ug naay night life didto.
kung ipunon ang shore line sa malapascua ug ang activity sa moalboal at night.. u will come up with boracay.

Actually, the "ENTIRE" island of Cebu is a diving spot... Or shall we say the "entire coastline" that envelopes Cebu......This was emphasized by a Japanese tourist book about Cebu... This actually makes Cebu unique among the rest of the islands in the country...

The best are in Mactan ( deep walls, caverns, caves) and in Moalboal (same as Mactan)... But who knows there are others just waiting to be discovered.........

pls try Santander or the next town Samoboan,
Santander is a known dive spot...
Samboan is still starting to advertise, but there are a lot of good reefs there, and a well protected marine sanctuary in brgy. colase...
