aside sa proc na gamiton, vga and pci-e na vcard? unsa pay lain mga pro and cons ani nila?

S939 has a faster FSB.
S754 maybe phased out soon now that AM2 is in the market.
s754 single channel man guro ang memory ani.
Nope thats incorrect... Both Socket 754 and 939 supports AGP as well as PCI-E it all boils down to the type of the Core Logic (Chipsets) being used in a motherboard. For example a NForce3 chipset on socket 754 and 939 only supports AGP graphic slots while NForce 4 chipsets supports PCI-E. I'm personally using a NForce410/GForce6100 on socket 754 (Foxconn 6100k8mb-rs to be exact) with PCI-E graphic slot.
Bro Bossdak is right socket 754 uses single memory channel (64bit wide) interface while socket 939 uses dual memory channel (128bit wide addressing). Aside from that socket 939 uses faster HyperTransport (HTT) 2000mhz effectively while 754 uses 1600mhz.
939 Pros:
- Faster HyperTransport
- Dual Memory Channel
- Supports Athlon64 X2 (Dual Core Processors)
- Supports Athlon64 with higher clockspeeds
939 Cons
- Price
- Future Prof (754 will outlive 939)
Seeing how the trend goes i still fail to see how socket 754 will out live 939, theres no new CPU familiy added on the s754 for ages
amd is phasing out the 939 earlier than the 754 to give way sa ilang socket am2. mao na gyud ni ang ilang flagship nga socket.
I agree with fish.
daghan pa sad sila kaayo ug back orders for socket 754... mao na mas dugay nila i-phase out.
