Default What is good in our economy? Unsa may maayu sa Ekonomiya nato?

As we may all know, Philippines is affected in a world crisis of food and oil. Inflation have gone up to more than 3 times the target of our government. Foreign Investment in the Philippines is very small compare to other neighboring countries, Electricity is the most expensive in the Asean region, if not in whole of Asia. Politicians are marked to be most corrupt in Asia. High population growth rate, etc and I can go on and on and on.

Is there something good in our economy? Do we have hope? Maybe you know some good news that other people don't know and you might want to share them.

    Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

    GOD BLESS PHILIPPINES!

    ONE GOOD NEWS..

Para nako it's a benefit to the people but its a challenge to the government on how to generate more income to compensate what they are losing on the current tax system.

    My viewpoint on this matter:

Yes our country is very rich in natural resources- from agri, minerals, aquamarine and even to brains and talents. It's just that our country is mismanaged. Why, our govt used to own the biggest corporations here- PLDT, PAL, Napocor, etc. and it was sold because it was not generating revenues. Why, because of corruption. Now, these companies are privatized and they are earning. PASTILAN!

In Singapore, which has a land area smaller than Cebu, they have to import water from China. Still they have a robust economy because the govt is well-managed.

The Phils have a lot of things that we can use to our advantage but we are manipulated by some corrupt officials and greed businessmen.

agree jod ko ani......kon maka travel ka to other country, it is only then that you can spot the difference. Daghan kaayo nasud nga limited ang resources pero they surged ahead with money. When i traveled to taiwan in 1999, a young taiwanese guy made a brief introduction about his country and he boldly stated that Taiwan at that time was as poor as Philippines 20 yers ago, and most probbaly if i get to hear from him again this time he might say his country is as poor as phil 50 yrs ago na....

It all boils down to our Constitution. We need to change our laws cause it does not serve the best interest of our nation. Gamay lang nga problema like political dramas and our economy is affected. We have all the resources in our country, I have been to other countries like Japan and Hongkong, to tell you the truth, we have a better country compared to Japan in terms of natural resources.
