They wont come near... They will just come in range and fire it in salvos.. It would be difficult for these jet fighters ( F18 ) to stop the swarming Iranian small boats .

Remember Iran has KH55SM and Sunburn missiles technology. Once released it is impossible to stop.

KH-5 is a slow moving cruise missile and shouln't be any problem for the AEGIS system to track and kill.

The SS-N-22 has a range of only 100-120km? The USN RIM-162 ESSM should be able to handle it unless the operators are asleep. Aside from that it takes 1-5 of those missiles to sink a 20,000ton warship? Current US carriers are in the 100,000ton class.

The US Aircraft Carrier that will be dispatched to show their commitment to defend PHL from any aggressor. I'm sure they're just all hype. - Im talking about the sea skimming missile (low flying) which i doubt Aegis was designed for. Phalanx naa pay slim chance.
