Iv'e been there, honest~ been able to check ur turtz (for problems since hostile ang lugar esp. dghan rats ug cats sa WGC) pag wednesday, sat n sunday kada morning before q muad2 school -

We (me and my friends sa CAS) even saw and save an escaped turt as early as 8am, believing na natagak to siya sa iyang enclo, pag neaaging expo nya ge turn over sa k2 old guy nga ACE member~

Even though I can't go w/ the members of this club during meetings,bondings etc. due to conflicts in my sched sa school n work, I tried my best to show enthusiasm in this club-

Now tungod kae impossible njd ku ka join ani coz d ko khtag commitment ug sa expectations sa members, sorry...dnt worry, I'm still a turt lover+

sorry wasn't able to be there personally...I know I PM'ed somebody that I will support but was also waiting for that person to make a follow-up...been busy with work and other stuff...

but I do hope that everything is gonna be alright here....I missed a lot of activities, I guess....

@ ALL: you know what guy'zzz layo natah ug naabtan sah CUTE...we had our 1st ever exhibit...sad to say nga naa lang jud flaws but that is part of our baby steps since we are still establishing our organization...

mao lang to amu nah comment coz' we are there...& we were often referred nah murag ura sah UFC...then ug makadungog, mah associate sah wrestling...ang ULTIMATE!!! mao raman...
pwede dili lang nato e big deal...its just a name...what matters is our enthusiast with our turts & our bond as members of the group...

CEBU ULTIMATE TURTLE ENTHUSIASTS

I think the name sounds alright. The agreement of words is there and it make sense. The word ULTIMATE doesn't mean fighting is involve.

Just like the creation of the name sa ACE. I am the one who suggested that the name of the group to be Cebu Aquatic Resources Enthusiasts (CARE) here in the forum and during our first meeting sometimes in June 2008. But many said that the acronym doesn't sound to mean about the aquarium hobby as it might be interpreted to mean about for example "care giving" groups or anything that deals with some humanitarian practice. Markykoi is the one who suggested Aquatic Cebu Enthusiasts wherein there's some confusion in the arrangement of words as there is no agreement to mean what. It might be the acronym ACE sounds nice. I think it was Zerk who said that we are going to have instead Cebu Aquatic Enthusiasts (which has a better agreement of words) but one retorted that the acronym CAE is not good as it might be mistook as Chinese Algae Eater. But anyway votation was made and since ACE got the most number of votes during that meeting thus ACE was the adopted name. So guys, whatever will be the name, what is important you have the spirit and love of the hobby.

TATO = turtles and tortoise org

i went there bai.. 2x.. i was there for the turtles when nobody else yet was there.. I stayed there from approximately 8:30-11+am.. i went there straight from my night shift duty maski wala pa ko tulog.. i went there to support the group.. i don't need any witnesses to vouch nga naa ko didto.. basta i know nga i've done my share.. the only people there are from Team Overdrive.. if you think that it isn't "support" enough, it's up to you..

by the way, perspective ain't the problem, it's simply listen to explanation first why it's there in the first place prior to making any reaction..

by the way guys, after observing the events taking place for couple of days, and thinking about it, i realized that i don't wanna be a part of this group anymore..

i'm sorry guys. but i just can't understand why people are ganging up on me? have I said something which might offend anyone? i only posted what i thought was right (and turned out to be right after all).. and it's not even in an insulting nor in a threatening manner.. i'm a very diplomatic person but i don't back out from the truth. i realized that i should just be a sacrificial lamb to please everyone..

another point i realized just now, i don't wanna be a part of a group that doesn't appreciate the unique contributions each member has.. so what, if i didn't put up an exhibit, but only showed up to support? (ACE did not have a problem when all i contributed for the previous show are printed articles of aquatic plants). What if all i wanna do is to provide educated advises to those who are in need of it? what if all i've done is to promote this group by inviting other turtle people in other threads? what if all i can contribute is to visit this thread and keep it buzzing with activities since post #2? what if all i can give is an awareness campaign for interesting but endangered turtle species? so many what ifs, but the response is nay...

before i end my posts here, i just wanna thank you all guys for the funny and memorable 5mos spent here.. also, i wanna apologize to anyone, whom i might have offended, believe me, i never intended it, i never even knew about it.. also, i think i owe an apology to ki, i used to tease you about "ice cream", but after reading the whole thread from the beginning, i discovered that it wasn't actually you who suggested ice cream as food to turtles, so i'm sorry..

lastly, i made a promise before to post condensed general information about RES for the benefit of those who don't like to read at [http://www.redearslider.com]. so the following posts are excerpts from the said site.. emphasis is on health section.. these posts would be my parting shot from the group..
