Rather than pursuing for the Legalization of Prostitutes, why not criminalizing it with heavy consequences to deter would-be-prostitutes and would-be-prostitute-clients? Prosecute the prostitutes, their clients, the pimps, the institutions that's harboring them, and their protectors. Let the prostitutes serve jail time by which they will undergo rehabilitation with livelihood programs. The pimps will go to reclusion perpetua together with the clients, and the protectors. How about that?

    Easier said than done .

@ gikapoy: ur actually enjoying the fruits of morality my friend. just think about it, if no single person has the moral intention to do something for the benefit of the society, we will all be in chaos.

@Springfield: everything is easier said than done my friend. "Im going to have a successful business some day" is easier said than done. "I'm going to be Valedictorian" is easier said than done. "I'm gonna kill myself" is also easier said than done. I just think we all want the easiest way out to any problem.

You are comparing apples and oranges here .

Your scenarios are not easy at all , all are hard but was accomplished by a lot of people who never said about it easily but acted on it firmly .

Going back to your scenarios :

How about that ? Sa negosyo pa ... YABo kay di feasible . Like I said easily said than done . Sounds nice but not realistically .

This will worsen the problem and further push it underground.

From 1920-1932, there was a total ban of alcohol in the U.S (Ban included manufacturing, transporting and consuming alcohol)..... the result??

Underground pubs grew and even in big cities like new york, the mayor would even be one of the customers of these speak easy's as they called them.

Since the industry was outlawed by the government, the mafia and other organized groups stepped in to regulate the trade. Crime rate and secret societies grew until the government eventually lifted the prohibition law.

So its either the government legalizes and regulates prostitution or outlaws it.

We already have underground economies in the s3x trade but the government is just turning a blind eye to it. If the govt were to get serious and really ban prostitution, we'll see something similar to what happened in the U.S.

Bottom line.... prostitution is not going away... stop living in a dream world... get real. Its either you face the problem head on or hide it under the rug for the triads, crime, drug lords.
