@Motown and archer:
"You have to give some to get some."
Suns:
First off, with the way he's playing Amare has recovered from that injury, thanks to the Suns' medical staff. One more thing, this is a fantasy trade because Josh Smith has a player option that will allow him to veto a deal which concerns his very future.
However, there is no guarantee that he'll refuse the trade if this comes up. Playing with Nash and O'neal would benefit Josh Smith. After all, the Suns really misses Shawn Marions' athleticism and they'll cement the needed tweaking with an all-around player like Smith. Moreover, there is no guarantee that Amare will resign with the Suns in 2010.
advantage: Marvin Williams (expiring salary this year), Speedy (expiring salary in 2010), athleticism in Josh Smith, instant contenders
disadvantage: might need more time for the new guys to jell
lineup:
C - Shaq
PF - JSmoove
SF - Hill
SG - Richardson
PG - Nash
sixth men: Marvin Williams, Leandro Barbosa
Hawks:
I've seen enough of Josh Smith's glaring ineffectiveness beyond the 3-point line and has never been good on the dribble. Maybe he needs a new environment. Plus, he does not have to be active all over the place kay the Suns thrive on offense. If makuha sa Hawks si Amare, ngano masayang man si Josh Smith? Besides, they still have Josh Childress' rights if ever mobalik siya sa NBA.
advantage: Put Amare up front and Al to his favorite spot (PF), serious playoff contenders, Pachulia (expiring contract this year)
disadvantage: reluctance of Atlanta Hawks owners to go waaaay over the salary cap, Mike Woodson, bench
lineup:
C - Amare
PF - Horford
SF - Evans
SG - JJ
PG - Bibby
sixth: Flip, Zaza
That concludes my pipedream trade.
