it is pretty serious. i was watching the game on tv, and at first i thought it wasn't that serious, although his screams were heard on tv. then they replayed it, and while they didn't focus on the leg, you can almost see that it was lying on almost a right angle, and Calderon (Raptor and Spanish national team mate) had to cover it quickly with a towel. Jeffersons, and the Raptors bench, reaction was all i need to see how badl it was. i lost my sleep that night, kept thinking about it.

he'll be out for at least six months. hope he gets well soon and gets his game back next year.

Yeah, and i thought Pau Gasol carried the heavy task for the Grizzlies... but lo and behold, out from nowhere, the brightest Grizz and rookie Tarence Kinsey shot 10-for-18, including a clutch 3 late, helping the downtrodden Grizz take a 88-86 win right from under Jack Nicholson's shaved dome.

The Dallas Mavericks with the No. 1 pick in the 2007 NBA draft? If Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy had his way, that could happen.

Van Gundy wants to open up the NBA draft lottery to all 30 NBA teams in an effort to keep teams from losing intentionally to hopefully secure the No. 1 pick.

"I think every team should have an equal chance at winning the lottery, from the best team all the way down," Van Gundy told The Houston Chronicle. "I don't want to accuse anyone of anything. I would say to take away any possible conflict of interest, everyone should have an equal chance at the top pick all the way down. That way there would be absolutely no question by anybody about anything.

"If it's better for the game, they should do it. I never quite understood why losing is rewarded, other than [for] parity."

According to The Chronicle, Van Gundy presented his proposal to the NBA, but wasn't taken seriously.

Bitaw sad oi... teams who are likely to snatch a top prospect would want to lose every game and earn ping pong balls to get to the top pick. It's like, losing on purpose is their only option to improve.

If pwede lang, the 14 worst teams should have the same amount of ping pong balls and only for the top 14. But that would make things complicated.
