hi istoryans,
first time ko mopalit unta ug headphones, unsa inyo ma recommend?

kanang good quality vs price. i was thinking of buying sony mdr x10 or xb800.. nka try ko sa ayala sa xb800 and okay nako sa quality ato..

unsa iyang equivalent nga headphone sa sennheiser ug audio technica? naa mo masuggest? mas maayo if mapalit ra dri sa cebu. thanks!

mao ba ning naka display sa sony didto sa "corridor" sa GF? if yes i suggest dont buy them. i have tried them and sorry to be frank but they are terrible hehe. daghan pa mas nindut ato for the price. btw, pila imo budget and what music genre do you usually listen too?

Yes, mao toh sa GF. haha! Okay lng, thank you for being honest and I appreciate it since I have absolutely no idea ani nga field. Siguro 5k lang guro ako mabudget, for casual lng gud nga music while gawork sa office.

for the genre, hmm, i dont usually favor any. i guess im looking for well-rounded headphones that are suited for any kind of genre (naa ba ana?haha) Medyo daghan2 mn sad gud, i listen from rock to classical instrumental.

i personally own this, and i have tried so many others. i can definitely say, no other can priced 5k-below is better than this.

BUT, if you get a high-end headphone, better get an amp too so you get the best out of it. there are always strings attached. hahaha

btw, Grados sound best with rock, guitars and strings and the like. think about sitting in the front row in a live concert. thats what they call the Grado sound signature. and its retro look is awesome too

That's my kind of price range. Naa njud kay makuha ana nga mas.nindut pa jud kaau! I'm more into earphones pero if headphones jud ka try to look into:

Creative Aurvana Live! available sa Egghead sa Manila if willing ka paship.

Ang HM3 lisod jud i.beat at it's price range IMO lng sa 2k price range (murag 2.9k toh sa mall) nahurot nani last nko check and ako(2.4k) nahutdan pod. sa Egghead manila naa pa guro, I think mao jud ni ang all-rounder na budget headphone. Balanced iya tingog and a little bit of everything(dli kuwang sa bass or clarity ug decent soundstage) pero dli pod xa mu.shine in one aspect jack of all trades ang dating only con is cheapo plasticy but it's comfy and light kaau.

Koss Porta Pro - bassy and dako na soundstage. probably one of the most comfy for me almost feels like its not there. Con is dli kaau clear sa highs.. usa sa pinakapopular portable entry level headphones pod ever..since the 80's awa lng ang dagway murag retro.hahah

Sikat2x jud na brand and popular pod kaau na model na entry level sennheiser PX100II, available in cebu malls around 2.8k if dli ko sayop. Kng nahan kag with remote+mic. which is rare and overpriced if naa available naa ko PX100IIi "i" version..nya barato ra.hehe

If dli ka basshead jud or maglabad imo ulo sa kakusog sa bass, naay nindut na neutral/flat headphone n dako soundstage for a fully closed Headphone Brainwavz HM5. slightly over 5k (6.9k sa mall) pero at this price range rarely mkakita ani ka neutral pagka-tuned..mao g.bantogan nga "Neutral champ". Pero check out other recommendations kay Brainwavz fan ko..sort of and naa ko g.sale ani at 5.7k nlng.hehehe

Last but not the least daghan au choices ang superlux, lately naa nani sila sa Astro Vision pero limited models lng ug musugot sila ipa.test. Try HD661 or HD681 EVO. Naa ni sila both sa 2k.

Naa man pod nindut nga models ang Sony, pero ambot ngano wla available sa local stores. Hit or miss jud most of the big mainstream brands, dli ra kay Sony so choose wisely.


Aw uu Maau pod ang Grado gpatest ko ni Korg17 ani, in your face murag naa sa live concert front-row ang dating, natural ang presentation dako jud au soundstage, only con lng guro para nko kay mamili pod ug genre.

Btaw lingaw2x lng ni akoa, I know limited ra jud ang halin ani nga path kay niche jud ang market. It's just nice to see people would be aware of a more audiophile choice and you know nga happy sila unless guro mkaipon jud ko dha na guro ko mag.high-end.. Lipay pko sa ako state ron pero mkasuya jud inyo gpangsturyaan heheheheh
