newbie photographer joining the bandwagon... my very first macro shots using a Canon 350D... all shots handheld - ISO 200 - 1/125 - f3.5 - built-in flash fired - levels and curves adjusted. comments are highly appreciated.

you remember that tele lens nako that got busted after exactly a year of use,
they replaced it for free with a whole new package, including new box, pouch, hood,etc.

wohooo! brand new canon...hehehe!

ok, 1st three images are a bit to harsh ang lighting. try bouncing the flash.
1st and 3rd images maybe you can try rotating the image para ang subject dili baliktad hehe
and last advice, try using a higher F-stop maybe F11 to get more detail.
coz at 3.5 the DOF is very shallow...keep on shooting

tnx for the comments... unfortunately, a higher f stop was impossible to work with given the conditions... was under shade with wind blowing in all directions... the first three images had some overexposed parts mainly due to the fact that I am still trying to get in tune with the camera... I am hoping to understand the camera more as I progress...

hmmm, you can increase the ISO to compensate for the f-stop kahit f8...iso 1600 hehe
(and lower shutter speed although i understand it would be hard with the wind and all)
if u need help with the camera, dont hesitate to ask me via pm or drop by the shop ok?
ey, practice makes perfect keep on shooting...

there's one tip I could have used earlier. why didn't I think about increasing the ISO ^_^... just shows my newbieness... hehe... I hope to join you guys with one of your "shooting spree" soon...

i have stofen coming...for what model flash do u need it for?
i also have 77mm filter UV incase u need it (in stock) very hard to find this size in cebu.
for 3 years i have been looking for 1 here in cebu wala gyud so ng import nalang ko
i have 2pcs left. 1500 each.

I'm using a Canon 380EX right now until I can get myself a Sigma 500 or Canon 580... pwede magpa apil boss? Sa filter wala pa man ko 77mm lens... mura dugay pa sad ko maka palit... practice sa ko with what I have.. ^_^

hmmm, wala ko stofen for 380ex. i dont think they make that anymore 2003 paman na iya omni-bounce gi stop production i think (not sure though).

face out naman ni when the 420ex came out now the 420ex is faced out also for the 430ex...

anyways what i ordered is for the 420ex,550ex and 580ex only
