this is the sad truth of the century.. but trend tends to shift and change as time goes by. While it is nearly impossible to achieved boycotting "civilization", there are more subtle approach on that and other ways to counter China's aggression. We will just wait and see..

the issue is not on china's fast economic boom, the issue is far more obvious and aggressive than that. Their actions will make a ripple effect and will backfire if they continue to be a bully to other nation.. maybe slow but time will come that some countries (hopefully apil ang pinas) will compete china in the manufacturing/export sector.

That's true boss. I can't argue with you on that. But I think the reason those foreign manufacturers are opting to have their products mass produced in China even if it compromises the quality is because the obsolescence of a technology is very quick as compared to a few decades ago. Nowadays, 3 months after you buy the latest TV on the market, another "latest" model comes along.

I think, in the manufacturer's mind, they'd be asking themselves why would they engineer something to last 10 years when they can already create a demand sooner than they can decades ago.

That is a probability. And yes, there MAY be other ways to counter China's aggression. Boycotting isn't one of them.

    grabe way mga puangod!

"I will be the first to admit to being guilty of supporting the Commie Scum. But who doesn’t buy Made In China? That’s the problem. Everyone may know that China doesn’t have quite the ‘stellar’ human rights record, but few realize that Chinese Slaves commit suicide en masse; the women routinely undergo forced late-term abortions; men are simply steamrolled for protesting the theft of their land; and second-born children are run over by One-Child Policy Enforcement Officials when their parents don’t abort the child/pay a hefty fine. Now that’s Chinese efficiency – Crush The Resistance."
