I don't understand why people keep mentioning that a team/player cannot excel because of his age. Last year all I could hear was how OLD San Anotnio was and yet, they won the championships...

San Antonio is San Antonio, Francis is Francis... San Antonio is a team, Francis is a player... analyze that... Francis having trouble with his injury, and he is prone to that.. though the SPURS have experience dificiency for their players for last year's injury but still they are a caliber team... as i've said they are nonetheless a TEAM and a CHAMPION compared to player that cannot bring a team into a championship!!!! I maybe wrong, but surely 50% of it is correct!!!

But i am still a ROCKETS TEAM!!

Everybody is getting old..hehe.

at this point in time, he's more concerned of winning games rather than going into the daily top tens.

Bored? Who wouldn't be? Each and every player in the NBA dreams to have at least a single NBA championship ring on their finger, more than any MVPs and Scoring titles. And that's even the reason why Karl Malone and Gary Payton joined the Lakers right?

The mere fact that Steve Francis now have Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady makes it his legitimate shot at the title. And Houston Rockets fans should be glad at least Steve Francis is now more team oriented before (and I really hope he'll do come game time). Being old? Yes. And maturity comes along with it. At least now he knows his role and where he stands in the team.

Are you even sure he's tired or bored of not HAVING A RING? Or you just forgot he's no longer his usual self?

From his rookie year with the Rockets until he was traded to Orlando, Francis was not just the Rockets' cornerstone, but a main headache as well. His ego is larger than Yao Ming and Shaq's size and that's why, in the first place, despite loaded with key players like Yao Ming and Cuttino Mobley, the Rockets weren't able to move past the first round. Blame it on the Lakers? I don't think so. Blame it on the poor standings. They can do better than 7th place.

And now? After all those injuries and disappointing seasons with the Magic and Knicks, pretty sure his ego is badly hit and have realized that he can no longer do the usual stuffs that he did. Have you ever thought that turning into a team player is only his defense mechanism and he's got no other choice because he's no longer enough to lead a team to a decent number of games? Because he knows he'll no longer be in the daily top tens? That could be a possibility.

A guy like Steve Francis? Just having a ring is not the only thing in his mind.
