hi guys. Im using a PS7 for now because my computer is just a p4. Cs2 run slower in Windows system you can only get its highest performance with the use of mac system.

its ok to run photoshop cs/cs2 on a pc. yeah, ur right with the mac, specially with a g5 with dual core. but in my case. ka ra gyud kaau. with a p4 3.52E, 2GB ram,ata 100 7200.8 system,200GB 7200.8 for scratch disk ( photoshop reccommends separate scratchdisk for optimum performance!), and separate 80GB x2 for data. man... my photoshop renders images @ 200dpi x 28feet x 18feet like cheesecake!

so the bottom line is. depende na sa imo pc set-up.

there are great set-up configuartions ( with a price! )

for system disk : WD Raptor 10,000 rpm x 2 in raid 0
for scratch disk : WD Raptor 10,000 rpm x 2 in raid 0
for data storage : seagate sataII 300 with NQC ( 500GB ? )
some mobo have 8sata ports, makunfigyur nimo usa-usa ( kung datu gyud ka, raid 5 @ 4x500GB = 1.5TB for storage + ur raptors )syaro'g hinay.

amd are gud for gaming olrayts. use intel with hyperthreading for photoshop.

i840 / i955 ang champion sa threading ani ( 2cores with HT = 4 threads in 1 cycle )

mahal pu hinuon. pero mahal sad ang mac, ug ang softwares? kinsa naa diha? :mrgreen:

if you have x86 pc ( P4/ A64 ) and lots of ram, use photoshop cs2.

or if you don't have, edit your photoshop preferences, set your scratch disk on the disk or partition other than your system's.
and your ram usage upto 75% ( but you have to run only photoshop if you only have 256mb or less).

if you are a biginner you must start in PS7 like me.....
