mas nindot mag uniform.... mas elegante og pormal tanawon..
pero ok ra sad wala, basta maayo lang ang suoton.
Does the uniform really blur the line between rich and poor in colleges/universities? I doubt it. If universities want the illusion of equality among students with regards to their socioeconomic status, then they might as well not put parking lots inside the campus where rich or can-afford students surely park their cars. The point is that a person's richness or lack thereof can be shown in different ways, not just the clothing. Makeup, jewelry, or none at all... Not to mention where the students eat during break time, how much they buy, what brand of notebook they're using, what brand of bag they use, do they switch bags every now and then, whether or not they have all the required books, or whether they get picked up by a BMW after school, etc. I'm sure you've had classmates before who you knew for sure were rich and whose richness were obvious in several ways, even though all of you wore uniforms.
Do civilian clothes really cost that much? Or is it our attitude towards clothes that's the problem?
Also, if you've been schooled in the Philippines from elementary to high school, then chances are you spent most days of the week and most months of the year of your entire school life (from elementary to high school) wearing a uniform. College should be different don't you think?
As to universities that tell you you bring the name of your school with you wherever you go in your uniform, so are college students walking advertisements? Can't you bring the values that your college upholds without the uniform? If someone can injure those values while wearing the uniform, then for sure the opposite can also be true - that someone can uphold those values even without the uniform.
Anyway, I'm sure there are some really good reasons why there should be a uniform (in college, specifically), but for now I don't buy the ones being mentioned.

Pangwarta ra ng Uniporme oi, pagmata na gud mo...
OK ra jud ug ID lang. then upgrade sa gate, use biometrics. Wla nay hasul.
makaginansya gamay dili pangwarta......anyway most of our universities sa cebu naka uniform naman jud....but if you dont want to be in uniform.....try your luck in U.P if not then content your self on washday (wednesday for most colleges)...
Kapoy na'ng magbalik- alik ang sanina. Ulaw napod madugay. Maypa uniform nalang para parehas tanan. Mas estudyante pa ang feel.
