why would filipinos be nationalistic when the truth is that they haven't had a nation on the first place...when the country named philliuppines is just a dummy for all folks on this earth to exploit, where everyone is adapting a nationality depends on what they want to be... when people in this place are a mixture of all races ... when the truth is no pure filipinos are living on this dummy country for all of them are long dead.... some may not but most of them live in the far away mountains exiled from their true land...
Pero i think wearing it is a start.. especially for people like them..Originally Posted by wanderlust

First, Dicipline starts with the family. Family will play a big rule para mag dako ang usa ka taw na disiplinado. In plant jud unta sa bata since birth until adult then mu mature. Second, Government. Dapat if we have laws implement jud. Let me site an example. Over speeding sa Japan has a penalty of 40k and if you're caught drunk driving you'll be in prison hasta imu pasahero. I think apply pud ni sa other country like U.S.
Also we lack government support, we lack opportunity for our people. Poverty! usa pud na. We need change in our selves and think of others benefit dili kay ato lang ka-ayu han huna2xun.
addendum:
there's also our lack of quality consciousness, which is directly proportional of lack of love for others and of the country.. this is common in many countries, however, it's apparently more evident in our country.. we love to be loved, we all enjoy being loved, being spoiled, being paid - without returning anything at all or returning as little as possible.. selfishness is the name of such illness form a spiritual point of view and such selfishness, laziness and thus manifesting in lack of quality consciousness would, in a way, affect every people's quality of life and how they deliver they functions..
i just heard this song before and i think this is one of the causeS of why phil. never grow...
maraming ganito ngayon especially sa pulitika....
MAGNANAKAW
Ayon sa kasulatan,
ayon sa mga nakaraan,
ayon sa mga pangyayari noon
at mga nangyayari ngayon...
Tayong mga pilipino raw
ay may ugaling magnanakaw
mula pa nung unang panahon,
hanggang sa kasalukuyan...
Ito kaya'y totoo?
ito kaya'y nangyayari?
Ito kaya'y nangyayari noon?
nangyayari rin kaya ngayon?
Ito kaya'y dahil na rin
sa ating katamaran
di tapat sa gawain
at sa iba'y nakikinabang
Tingnan mo ang yung sarili.
Suriin mo ang iyong ginagawa...
ikaw ba ay isang magnanakaw
ang taong mapagsamantala...
Hindi nagpapapawis
hindi lumuluha
magnanakaw ng oras,
galing at pawis ng iba......
I believe it's about time to correct these wrong doing. It should start with us and our fellow pinoys. Mabuhay tayong mga pinoy! We should think positive and do what is right for our beloved country.
among other factors that shape the character of the Filipino, religion is the most influential and the most detrimental. Catholicism does not breed the social values that is essential in building a strong society. it's just making mindless zombies of religion out of the people, leaving them with psychological hang-ups and personality inconsistencies that are clearly manifested in our society now. compare the protestant, muslim, non-religious nations against all Catholic nations(especially the colonized ones), one can see a stark contrast of characters.
after all, the religion was just one of the tools of colonization and expansion of a domain. It benefits those who use it as a means to an end.

HURRICANE KATRINA DESTROYS NEW ORLEANS DAYS BEFORE SOUTHERN DECADENCE
Philadelphia - Just days before Southern Decadence - an annual homosexual
celebration attracting tens of thousands of people to the French Quarters
section of New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina destroys the city.
Southern Decadence - has a history of filling the French Quarters section
with drunken homosexuals engaging in *** acts in the public streets and
bars. Last year, a local pastor sent video footage of *** acts being
performed in front of the police to the Mayor, Vice Mayor, City Council
and the media. City officals simply ignored the footage and continued to
welcome and praise the weeklong celebration as being an "exciting event".
However Hurricane Katrina has put an end to the annual celebration of sin.
On the official Southern Decadence website( www.southerndecadence.com ).
It states that the annual event brought in 125,000 revelers to New Orleans
last year up from over 50,000 revelers in 1997. This year's 34th annual
Southern Decadence was set for Wednesday, August 31, 2005 through
Monday, September 5, 2005, but due to massive flooding and the damage left
by the hurricane, Lousiana Governor Kathleen blanco has ordered everyone
to evacuate the city.
The past three mayors of New Orleans, including Sidney Barthelomew, Marc
Morial, and Ray Nagin, issued official proclamations welcoming visitors to
Southern Decadence. Additionally New Orleans city council made other
proclamations recognizing the annual homosexual celebration.
Athough the loss of lives is deeply saddening , this act of God destroyed
a wicked city. Stated Repent America director Michael Marcavage. From
Girls Gone Wild to Southern Decadence; New Orleans was a city that had
it's doors wide open to the public celebration of sin. From the
devastation, may a city full of righteousness emerge, he continued.
New Orleans was also known for it's Mardi Gras parties where thousands of
drunken men would revel in the streets to exchange plastic jewelry for
drunken women to expose their breasts and to engage in other *** acts.
This annual event sparked the creation of the Girls Gone Wild video
series. Furthermore, Louisiana had a total of ten abortion clinics.
Additionally, New Orleans has always been known as one of the Murder
Capitals of the World with a rate ten times the national average.
We must help and pray for those ravaged by this disaster, but let us not
forget that the citizens of New Orleans tolerated and welcomed the
wickedness in their city for so long. May this act of God cause us to
think about what we tolerate in our city limits, and bring us trembling
before the throne of Almighty God. Marcavage added.
"God sendeth rain on the just and the unjust". (Matthew 5:45)
At least if na-a man tay mga calamity sa ato dili ani ka grabe aside atong Ormoc og katong flash flood sa Luzon. Religiouso man ang Cebuano diba mga tag Cebu? Ormoc has its own story why flood happen la ko kabalo sa Luzon?
