While reminiscing last night over what Oreta did during ERAP's trial in the Senate, an idea suddenly came to my mind. Like what Tolstoi said that GMA could have plans for Oreta and Sotto, I could not help to appreciate the idea that well within Team Unity, there exists an embedded or onboard opposition in the persons of Oreta, Sotto, Joker, Ralph and Angara. Sotto, Oreta and Angara are from the Opposition so even if they would adopt a friendly stance to the President, there would come a time that these people would still speak up for their convictions. We just cannot ignore the facts that they, erstwhile opposition, plays teamwork with the President in her programs to uplift the nation but there always exist that residual feeling of being an opposition albeit they would get brand new seats in the senate via TEAM UNITY.
That's why I was thinking... if Team Unity has this advantage of an inbuilt opposition to provide checks and balances, why would I pick someone to do the same job from the Genuine Opposition who would just be the dark horse and ruin everything?
Ug naduwa pa god ni in the case of basketball as my analogy. We have a good coaching team (executive) but we need also a good set of players who has the cohesiveness and teamwork (senate and congressmen) to win the game. Bisag puro pa superstars nang imong mga player tungod lagi kay modula ug binuaya, chances nga dili nuon kadaug (to the detriment of the nation). It can happen. So I'm contemplating now of forgiving Sotto and Oreta and give them a chance to rectify their mistakes so chances that I might end up as 12-0 in favor of Team Unity. To err in selecting the right candidates is disastrous but better to err in the positive side.
team unity ko pero I might vote some from UNO too
your analogy about the senate as a basketball team are just similar... unlike in basketball which the main goal is just winning purely positive... our government is different. Just remember Marcos days. And just imagine an administration who are all team players.Ug naduwa pa god ni in the case of basketball as my analogy. Right. And the opposition with its selfish ambitions of grabbing power and pulling down the President, there will be chaos again. The opposition will just make sure that they be the majority until eventually they gain enough strength to push through with their dark plans. They won't contribute anything positibe to our government.Originally Posted by budmendz

I'll keep on reminding everyone that whomever you have voted that much, you are for that team.
Originally Posted by Zirv
Clearly, the fact that they don’t have any political agenda but to oust a working president shows that they just wanted to grab power. If only they could start presenting to the people concrete programs and projects if ever they will be elected, that would be more acceptable.Originally Posted by baby_grace
