I recently signed up for Sole Collector...but years ago I was one of the original pinoy regulars in Niketalk. I also met someone nga taga Cebu pud...Jordans iya trip.

Anyway...recent addition Air Force One Mychal Thompson 25th Anniversary Original Six Player Limited edition (Chlorine Blue, Yellow and Tweed)

Mychal Thompson was one of the "Original Six"along with Moses Malone, Michael Cooper, Bobby Jones, Calvin Natt, Jamaal Wilkes that wore the AF1. He was a force in Portland during his earlier years llater was traded to several teams including the LA Lakers where he became Kareem Abdul Jabbar's backup. If you're wondering why such a funky design with the hemp or rope like material, it's because Mychal Thompson is from the Carribean specifically the island of Bahamas. Thus why on the shoe it says Bahamas born Kid

This particular shoe is only sold in Nike Park Ayala retailing at 5375.00, but was able to get it at a lower price thanks to the lifetime discount. Although I'm not a fan of the AF1 but this particular one along with another from the Original Six appealed to me. In this case it was the hemp material on the shoe that really got me to cop this..the perfect shoe for summer heheheh

A lot of nice touches and detail went to this shoe...notice the meta shoelace tips and also the tongue...it pointed out where Mychal Thompson is on the Original Six...Interior especially in insole is quite detailed and comfortable since it uses Dri-Fit sphere materials for the lining. The nice thing about hemp is that you hardy see creasing (kunot) on the shoe. The AF1 logo accesory in the shoelace is now rectangular instead of the oval ones.

Presenting the 25th anniversary Air Force 1 Premium...Original Six Players edition (Cooper) (Metallic Gold/White/Baroque Brown)

Aside from being part of the original 6 to wear Air Force Ones. Michael Cooper was a part of 5 Lakers Championship Team....
He was known to be a subtle offensive threat and a hard nosed defensive player. In fact he was in charge of guarding the toughest opponents like the likes of Larry Bird.

To symbolize that aspect...a lot of nice details went to these kickz.....you will see yin and yang....notice that outer sides have holes while the inner or medial side do not have holes...

Just like the Thompsons...the insole has a lot of detail...

Not to mention it came with a shiny lace tip with stars lasered on to it like my Thompsons...and also a chrome keychain with his face on it..and of course the AF1 certificate of authenticity. It also came with a freebie poster of the Original Six/The Second Coming

honestly I did not intend to get this but thanks to my gf ...who thinks that I look good in these soi I decided to get it as well. Price is at 5.3 K Only at Nike Park Ayala...

The only downside is that since it is made of white regular leather...it is prone to creasing...

I rate this 1/2 out of

Presenting the 25th anniversary Air Force One Supreme...Original Six Players edition (Wilkes) (Quasar Purple/Lavender/Gold)

Jamaal Abdul Lateef Wilkes was known for his silky smooth style of play...thus his nickname "Smooth As Silk". He was part of 2 UCLA championship teams in the NCAA aliong with Bill Walton. Won 4 NBA championships (1 with Golden State Warriors and 3 with the showtime Lakers). Often overlooked by fans because of his subtle demeanor but he has deadly jumpshot which the legendary Laker announcer Chick Hearn would call the "20 foot layup".

Wilkes was part of the Original Six that endorsed and wore the Air Force 1s and one of the 3 Laker players who were part of that Original Six.

To honor Wilkes they came up with this Limited Edition sneaker....prolly the most funky of the bunch but was something that a lot of AF1s fans were waiting for. I never was a fan of the AF1 till I saw this and the Thompsons.

Unlike the Thompsons and Coopers which are Premiums...these are Supremes...made with even higher quality materials and more limited. This one along with the Moses Malone and Calvin Natt retail for $225 or 10 K ...I was able to get this at a huge discount. But nevertheless even if I had to pay full price...I'd gladly do so...Just too damn nice to pass and it is selling out fast abroad.

There are some slight difference especially to the accessories that came with it...for one instead of chrome ...the keychain and lace accesory have gold accents...

The laces too are made of stiff yet silky smooth like material and came with a warning tag that the lace tips can be unscrewed.

The lace tips can be unscrewed which was not possible with Coopers and Thompsons...

even more detail went into this sneakz....

The material is smooth nad have this pattern if you look more closely and surprisingly does not easily crease.

aside from which the lettering on the outer back are made of 3M reflectorized material that gives it a bling2x
