***my real interest lies in web programming yet i'm getting nowhere near it - blame it to the compE dep't of university of san carlos - they suck - should've chosen comsci instead. now i'm at loss trying to figure out how get the life i believe was snatched while i was not looking. stupid me.
LORD_VAMPIRE. It's not in your major. If you're really interested in Web Devt. you could always self study. Back when I was in USC, I was part of this org. called CNMS. We have our own Web Devt. Team and most of the team members are not comp sci majors. Some are ECE, Comp. E, some were even BA and Accountancy students.
Some of them are working as web developers in various IT firms in Cebu.
i was planning on joining CNMS too but something happened - a court hearing. instead i was dumped into EUCS where we do technical support. there's one that keeps CNMS and EUCS connected though - TAP. then my interest shifted to playing starcraft hehe. so much for self-study.
now i'm at loss where to focus, right i'll start with web development. i am inspired by the cool works of some guys here.
GOOD JOB!!!
i'm not sure if we've met before but our CNMS playmates have been patrick, glen.. i forgot the others. what was your major back then at USC? what year did you graduate?
house caretaker here: 5.5T... heheheh unsaon wala may trabaho... bantay nalang balay para naay alawans. hehehe
Lord_Vampire, joined CNMS Dec. 97, I was head of the recruitment team that hired, Patrick, Glenn and others. Graduated 2002, a sem after the fiasco.
BSA grad here....
we may have met.. too bad i joined in late and haven't gotten to know you better guys - could've enhanced my programming interest. i am a fan of CNMS - maski giro gamay ang uban hehe...
im a software developer, earns pretty ok...
LORD_VAMPIRE, ako course BS Electrical Engineering - the only computer course i had in college was intro to C programming and logic gates - this didn't stop me from studying on my own though. so mas swerte pa ka nako kay CompE gyud ka.
kung mu-kugi lang ka ug tuon, im sure you can make it good in web programming also.
