True, sis .. but many of these viruses fatal to humans live or thrive in areas very much away or inaccessible to humans, i.e. deep forests, marshlands, grasslands. But with unabated logging, building of highways which cut forested lands, destroying marshlands for subdivisions, etc .. we make ourselves neighbors to these deadly organisms because we destroy their natural habitat and thereby vulnerable to these (think about the Ebola virus in central Africa) .. this is sad because in the name of development, we destroy ecological balance which will in turn greatly affect mother nature .. this is what I call, the rape of Mother Nature.
Totally agree...this is in a way our own doing. Good thing that there are now a lot of organizations aiming to protect and preserve the environment...let us support them! As for the swine flue, its best to keep ourselves informed.
