If this thread tells us nga straight edge was born from or is based on sa mga punk, aw that would be a BIG LIE and that's what people here dislike. Ang pagpakabuhi sa limpyo wala magsugod tungod lang sa music but sa individual nga pagkatawo in itself. How about those people in the history books like the bible whom fed on veges nya way casual ***, drugs, inom ug uban bang mga butang nga dili angay, did they also listen to punk when punk wasn't born yet?

Simple idea in science lang, ang name sa usa ka butang is named after or it's the choice of the person nga nakapapatent ana usa ka butang even though that thing/substance/etc has been there since the beginning of time.

People who started this straight edge thing are bored people from 1st world countries. They're too bored living their normal lives that's why they started this movement thinking they would make a difference. Sunod2x lang dayon ang mga little minds kay lagi they think they're "different", "unique", "astig" if they become one..

theyre not bored, they want change. they want to better themselves and even aimed at "usbon ang world" which is of course next to impossible. people who started it (as what you were saying) and its followers wanted to established as a set of values that go against vices and not to become "astig" or "unique"..
