The question now is, are they doing it legally? Could you really profit from 5/hour if all of your 300+ units are using legit copies of softwares? I think not. Maybe in the next 10 years. PLUS electric bills, salary of employees, etc..
Thus I conclude that the owners of these shops are extremely wealthy OR extremely dumb.
Stop forcing yourself to think that they can profit from this.

Even if you are not using legit software or paying rent for the place, this is still not possible. This is only possible if you are not paying for electricity. I have been in the cafe business for 12 years.
