Hi guys! I need some help. I'm a person who loves listening to music, I'm looking for a good pair of headphones and I'm debating which pair I would pick it's either the Audio Technica ATH M50 or the Sennheiser HD598. I listen to any kind of genre. Thanks
Nice review indeed for the L2.
EH should be carrying that model when it goes international.
No wonder Philips gave me a very nice freebie the last time i got the Fidelio L1.
While Philips is a relatively new player with HP's and considered a mid-end one, their products are a cut above those mid-class HP's.
The L1 and the X1 got good reviews so i think that L2 will be a big competitor in the mid-price HP's.
My only complain with the L1 is its soundstage is not as wide as i want it to be (now that i got the HD650 to compare).
If the L2 has a wider soundstage than the L1, i think i'll be falling in love again
HD650 - Dark/Veiled Sound?
Got over 300 hours now on the HD650 and after knowing that the drivers has been burn-in more than adequately, i took the time to listen attentively to just how the HD650 sounds.
The gain/bass/treble settings on the E07K amp was all set at zero eq, stock cable was used.
Where is the dark & veiled sound that people are talking about the HD650?
I find the sound neutral and not dark or veiled at all.
Perhaps shall i say a little bit laid back as i could listen for like over 2 hours without feeling any fatigue. But certainly not veiled or dark sounding.
Is it just me and my ears are tricking me?
Additionally everyone was saying that the HD650 is hard to drive and requires a decent amp.
The other day i run it direct from my notebook without any amping.
Today i upgraded the firmware of the X3 DAP and used it as a DAC from the notebook into the HD650.
Everything looks fine and the HD650 easy to drive.
What gives?
Is my HD650 made in Timbuktu and not in Ireland.
Guys who have listened to the HD650, how would you describe the sound and presentation of the HD650?
The HD650 has been with me since Oct 28, 2013.
