East: Allen Iverson (G), Dwyane Wade (G), LeBron James (F), Kevin Garnett (F), Dwight Howard (C)

West: Chris Paul (G), Kobe Bryant (G), Amare Stoudemire (F), Tim Duncan (F), Yao Ming (C)

ESPN insider John Hollinger though doesn't agree and wasn't impressed with the results.

His starters are:

East: Devin Harris, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Dwight Howard

West: Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, Yao Ming

But what can you ask for? It's the fans that vote and they are the players they feel deserving and want to see in the All-Stars (I even think that Chris Bosh should be included in that list instead of Kevin Garnett). If Yi Jianlian got good number of votes to make it to the starting position despite of his high school basketball type of numbers, they will put him in the starting line-up. That's how the All-Star voting works.. unfortunately.

Houston's got a representative in the starting unit in Yao Ming. I really thought that Shaq will be given the opportunity to start again in the All-Star game because of his impressive showing this season.

Grizzlies fire coach Iavaroni

NEW YORK -- Rudy Gay has already played for three different coaches in three seasons with the Grizzlies, and it's about to become four -- and maybe five -- after Memphis fired Marc Iavaroni.

The Grizzlies prepared to face the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Friday night with assistant Johnny Davis as interim coach, a day after Iavaroni was quietly dimissed.
