MIAMI (AP) — Carlos Arroyo has been cleared of a resisting arrest charge stemming from a February traffic stop.

The NBA free agent point guard, who spent last season with the Miami Heat and is expected to return to the club next season, had the charge dropped July 9, according to Miami-Dade County court records.

Police in Coral Gables said a motorcycle office tried to pull Arroyo over at a slow speed on Feb. 26, as the player was heading to Heat practice. Once Arroyo did stop his car, police said he ignored several orders to step outside the vehicle.

Arroyo paid $119 in court costs, records show.
