Come to think of it. Convergys started with just over a hundred employees in Cebu. Now, we are over 3k employees with over 10 accounts operating on 4 different sites. Not counting the over all growth in the Phillippines and the never ending building of new Sites all over the provinces including Manila. Site Leaders, Senior Managers, Managers, Supervisors and other Top Ranking officials who are now enjoying the stability and prestige of such Invincible call center company all started out as AGENTS who most likely were earning at a start of 10k/month. Now, a good 5 - 6 digit compensation is being credited to these hardworking people's accounts ON TIME and never LATE.

Who's to say that this company is worst? you gotta be kidding me. It must have been that you did not realize the career potentials that this company can bring you. CVG is an ocean of opportunity to the hardworking ones and may possibly be a deathdefying experience for those who see life as a playground of mediocrity and stupidity.

If you are a man of principle and ambition, with the determination to make things happen - you dont need the best call center to provide you your "lazy boy", all you need is hardwork..and all of these call centers will become "THE BEST!"

i know na dili pirmi kaon tao sa jollibee, im just comparing rates, and its not limited to jolibee alone. prices of rice, sardines, any other canned goods are the same, if they differ, it's just for a few cents that you may not care about. and naa pud daghan lami carinderia sa manila priced the same in cebu. sa transpo, almost the same lang, yung distance lang ang difference depende asa ka puyo. and some agents in cebu, like some friends of mine, are staying in lapu-lapu where they pay PHP26 one-way.

i didnt post this to mock people in the call center industry, its global, why the salary is local? why in singapore that they can provide almost 60% of what a u.s. agent gets? kasi daw mahal rent? nope, again, a singaporean who own a house working in a callcenter there gets the same rate as a pinoy who needs to rent.

the perception of filipinos that labor here is cheap have to change. a callcenter agent have to earn around $1,200 to get ahead of life. not just working to survive. prices of gasolines and prime commodities are going up and call center salary have stayed at a rate average to $400 for the past 5 yea
akong pangotana, if dili ta cheap labor, u think mangari nang mga investor sa pinas?if ako americano nga tag iya og call center, kung ang sweldo sa america mo parehos pinas, nganong moari man kos pinas., kanang imong giingon sa singapore, i think call center na pero in house na nga call center or basin ASPAC branch na sa company which is different set up sa call center sa pinas.

theres logic and rationale behind the Philippine rate. if "agents" were to earn $1,200.00/m, thats around PhP54,000 already. At that rate, supervisors will be earning around PhP81,000.00 while Managers should then hit around Php144,000.00/m. Ripple effect will make you worry - what will happen to our Academic industry? thinking nga 2 yrs in college can already earn you that eligibility to apply and even build a career, kinsa pa kahay ganahan mohuman ug eskwela? nga pwerte ra mang dalia sa kwrta sa call center? and right...kung theres that little difference form an american rate to a Filipino rate, aw, nganung mag antos man ang US to outsource these jobs? in that case basin pulos na lang Call center Courses ang ipang offer sa mga schools considering unsa ka high paying na kung mao man gani.

This is just even weighing things on what makes sense. This is nothing statistical or some complex study that you have to do. Its just basic common sense and logic.

Haskang hayahaya kaha naku kung mao na ang rates sa Pinas. Id surely get my own BMW in no time.

i have to agree with other peeps here... there's NO worst call center... each of the companies are providing the best benefits they can afford to accommodate the needs of their agents... so far, i'm happy with where i'm working as of now... 3years na ko dre... i hate to say this, pero ang uban agents man gud ang reason why other agents feel na worst callcenter ang company... just saying...

there's no such thing as worst call center coz each one has it's own perception of the company. like kuya Butchokoy for example. he has nothing but high praise for convergys but there's always someone who would differ.

come to think of it daghan baya kaau factors for a call center to be considered as a good or bad company. sweldo, benefits, growth, freebies, incentive, workload, environment, management, scorecard, clients and the direct customer u interact with.

kada isa lahi ang apas, kada isa nato lahi ang criteria nga gi tan-aw, kada isa naay reason nganong naa xa ana nga call center. pro at the end of the day, it doesn't count which is the worst or which ones are good. ang importante is naa tay trabaho... naa tay sweldo pa aboton every 15th & 30th (for most comp.), every other 2 weeks (for stream), every 10th & 20th (for qualfon & eper pro murag sayop akong date)... we get to have the basic needs and our wants pa... dba?
