Govt should have created a crisis team when the incident started and appoint someone who will provide hourly updates and same talked the the local and foreign media. The incident involves foreign nationals and its govt prerogative to comfort and assure other foreign goverments of the situation. A high ranking HK officials did make a call to president Pinoy after the failed assault, but unfortuantely our dear president was no where to be reached. i guess his busy talking to Shalani or to a dear sister Kris..

Maybe the HK government should have call Tito Boy Abunda instead....
its because he was in a press con

    govph
President Aquino issuing a statement now to the Malacanang Press Corps
    dawende
He can be also heard in radyo ng bayan 738 AM
kulang lang gyud ug training ang mga SWAT nato

cge lng.. internet report pa man na.. sa newspaper na maverify ugma unsa natabo..

but clearly... ang naka cause kalagot is the police and sa handling nila sa brother!

gi abused nila ug gipugos ang rights!

... CHR will surely condemn ila acts..

    read papers unya buntag!

I am really disappointed of how our dear police officers responded to the hostage crisis early today! These police officers need to go back to SCHOOL & undergo RIGID TRAINING! They don't know how to handle the situation. I know its very critical for both the hostages and the police for the later could be shot by the hostage taker but they should have considered a smart assult not like they're fighting a child holding a gun! They assulted the bus w/o helmet, tho some have. They're using teargas but they don't have any mask to cover themselves once they need to get in!!!

Dont be so quick to comment negatively. When I saw the videos, I thought to myself this is very humiliating and I felt so ashamed. But before you comment on how poorly they acted, put yourself in that situation, what would you do? You would probably say: "Wa ko kabalo, mao bitaw naa tay police na gi train para ana" So then ask yourself, does our police have the necessary training and the heart to take a bullet for his country. Does he have enough pay or benefits to risk his life for his job? Does he have the necessary benefits, that when he dies doing his duty, his family or the loved ones he leaves behind will get taken cared of financialy? So before you comment and blame our police. Maybe you should take a look at yourself and say, hey I better start becoming a better Filipino... Heres why:

Here is the video of the Philippine Police at the Mendoza BusJacking and Hostage Taking Incident.
In my own opinion: Our Police need training. To train we need a budget. To have a good budget, there must be effective commerce. To have effective commerce, we need the intellect and the discipline. The intellect we possess must be the knowledge that whatever one does will affect each and every other person in the community----Some, right away, while others, eventually. The discipline must be that which shows consistency of this knowledge. This incident is a tragedy, but this gives us the opportunity, to show to the world that we be better and can't allow this to happen again. We can start by training ourselves, through airsoft perhaps...Not as a fighter, shooter or military man, but as a better Filipino.
    Constructive comments encouraged.

    I'll summarize your comments...

The Hostage Happened because of Police grievances...
The Killings Happened because of Police incompetency to handle the situation.

Its All About Police Training and Benifits!
    What a Shame!

    Noynoy?? are you there?

Schools who handle Police traning and education should be investigated.
Not to generalize...Some excel..But Many of our policemen have low I.Q....

    tsk tsk tsk..
Afraid ..Rattled...etc..etc..is an stupid reason to explain why they acted like clowns!
They should have showed courage and coordination!
