    Hopefully this will come.

AS in any service, professionalism starts with wearing the right clothes.

A spa owner gave this advice along with an offer to Cebu City officials to help professionalize lingam massage services in the city yesterday.

Honey Yoo, owner of the Authentic Lingam Spa in Mabolo, Cebu City said professionalizing lingam massage services would help deter prostitution among spas and massage parlors in the city.

The first step is to require attendants to wear proper clothing and not skimpy outfits.

“In our spas, we always professionalism and how can you establish that if we start by wearing skimpy clothing? That's why we have to start there,” she said.

Yoo, a masseuse licensed by the Department of Health in Central Visayas (DOH-7), said they prohibit their clients from touching their attendants.

“We always warn clients who can't keep themselves from touching our attendants... we even asked one client to leave,” she said.

Yoo trained in the International NKYR Academy, the only DOH-accredited massage training institution in Cebu.

She said lingam is an advanced form of massage that can be incorporated to other forms of massage like Swedish and Thai massage.

“I am also talking to a Malaysian Lingam massage trainer asking him to come to Cebu and help educate Cebuanos on the proper way of doing the massage. He also provided training for my masseurs,” Yoo said.

Yoo supported regulation of lingam massage services in the city in part due to the rising number of spa owners doing lingam massage.

She said a lot of them may not have received proper training.

She said it's important to set standards for lingam massage services.

Instead of jumping to conclusions, give Lingam massage a few tries (if you can afford it), observe and then analyze for yourself.

Don't let the moral hypocrites (or those who continue to misunderstand Lingam) mislead you. Do your own research.

And if there are women here who share similar views with yesterday's letter writer (Sun.Star Cebu, Page A16, July 28 issue, Opinion section), please speak out.

There should be some couples here who do those massages (Yoni and Lingam) to each other.

Agnes Magpale filed a resolution to ban Lingam massage all over the province.

Still questions remain - did she do any hard research? What did the SWAC (a group whose members lost a lot of customers to Lingam joints) tell her? Does she know that Lingam is not ***? What can she do about the cheap and sleazy massage parlors that don't offer Lingam massage but sexual intercourse, BJs and anal ***? If Lingam massage is indecent, will she arrest wives who give that massage to their husbands?

Remember the July 28 "For lingam" letter published by Sun.Star Cebu?

I heard that the letter is circulating through emails of locals. If someone gets a copy, be sure to post it here.
