if you read the news or even mga links here lol what the media is saying "its blood on his hand" referring to Jinggoy and Trillanes had something to do with Reyes death. what they are doing is not an act of legislation but an act of humiliation. Reyes was invited as a resource person and yet he was the accuse. Thats why people discussing those two idiots. But you were saying otherwise that its not there fault cause blood on his hand points to Reyes himself, he pulled the gun. Like reyes has a guilt on his own death lol (blood on his hand daw). Ok thats your point, but suddenly you saying that call from GMA had trigger his death, the one you say na laglagan issue which i never heard from the news (off topic). and yet you keep on insisting that blood on his hand refer to GMA after you said the guilt is on Reyes himself

    In short your theory say:
extricate Jinggoy and Trillanes from the equation cause Reyes shot himself but implicate GMA on the issue cause she is to blame lol

next time try to understand what people or the media are saying cause even you confuses yourself.

    Trillanes flip-flops on Reyes again

MANILA, Philippines—Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV Monday tried to wriggle out of his previous claim that the late former Defense Secretary Angelo Reyes was the “powerful” person behind former military comptroller Carlos Garcia, but the Inquirer stood firm on the accuracy of its report.
Garcia has been at the center of a political storm after he and state prosecutors late last year entered into a plea bargain under which plunder charges against the former major general would be dropped if he pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of direct bribery and facilitating money laundering.
Garcia has been accused of plundering more than P300 million from state coffers.
On Feb. 2, the Inquirer carried a story in which Trillanes, in an interview with Senate reporters, identified Reyes as the powerful figure behind Garcia.
“I am naming him (Reyes),” Trillanes said in that media interview. That interview was taped.
Trillanes gave that answer when he was asked about a previous television interview in which he said that someone powerful—whom he did not identify then—was fronting for Garcia.
The Inquirer also reported that TV interview and Reyes subsequently put out advertisements in major newspapers challenging the senator to identify the “powerful” person he was referring to.
    ‘It ain’t Reyes’
After Reyes—who denied involvement in military corruption—committed suicide last week, Trillanes made a turnabout: He said that Reyes was not the “powerful” figure behind Garcia.
The Inquirer bannered Trillanes’ denial under the headline “Trillanes: It ain’t Reyes.”
In an interview on ANC network Monday, Trillanes said the Inquirer “got it wrong.”
Talking with Senate reporters after his ANC interview, Trillanes was categorically asked if he was denying that he had previously said that the former defense secretary and Armed Forces chief of staff was the powerful figure behind Garcia.
Trillanes avoided giving a direct answer, saying: “It will muddle everything again.”
He said that Reyes was “the principal” behind Garcia, and added: “It should be placed in that context.”
Pressed by reporters if he was now saying that “Reyes was not the powerful person” he had mentioned to the media, Trillanes said: “I believe those statements again can be twisted … I didn’t turn around.”
    A principal
But Trillanes said he was sticking to his other previous claims that Reyes was “one of the principals” behind Garcia and another ex-military comptroller, Jacinto Ligot.
Like Garcia, Ligot is facing plunder charges.
“Just to clarify everything, I maintain my position that the late General Reyes was one of the principals of General Garcia and General Ligot,” he said Monday.
Trillanes pointed out that Reyes was the AFP chief of staff when Ligot was comptroller and that he was the defense secretary when Garcia was comptroller.
Garcia has forged a plea bargain with prosecutors to evade a P303-million plunder case in the Sandiganbayan. This is the subject of inquiry by the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Trillanes Monday said the Inquirer’s “It ain’t Reyes” headline did not capture his statements on Reyes’ links to either Garcia or Ligot.
“It was qualified in the story, but not in the banner,” he said.
    Accurately reported
Trillanes also said that he did not name former President and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as the top official involved in corruption.
“When I was asked if it will reach GMA (Arroyo), I said it’s not far-fetched. It’s not the same as I named her,” he said.
The Inquirer also reported that statement accurately.

did I ever say ok nga mangawat? Akong point is... smalltime or bigtime.. they are both kawatan... pero if one of them testifies against the other, imbis tanawn ang validity sa testimony... were resort to labelling that person as a thief as well and we lose focus on the content of the testimony... that's essentially what's happening here. I couldnt care less about Trillanes and Jinggoy... they are all most likely corrupt but the meat of the discussion here is the truthfullness of the expose on corruption that may go all the way up the chain of command.

As far as I am concerned Trillanes does not deserve another term.
Trillanes did play a part... he and Jinggoy made Angelo Reyes realize his crime and so he was ashamed of himself of not making the harder but correct choice of standing up against corruption ... Seeing that he had lost his reputation and blemished his family's name ...eventually he took his own life...

Was it trillanes' fault.... maybe ... pero all I can say is... One down.... more to go.

Did Angelo Reyes deserve to die? Well.... Angelo Reyes himself thought so...

Unfortunately, most Filipinos are suckers for drama and propaganda.

Even if the late general did more good in the majority of his career, all it takes is one act of corruption and everything han the name, honor, integrity will all go down the drain
I agree with this... being buried there is an insult to the memory of those who gave their lives for the country.

I also think those people people who were against reyes and are now singing good graces about him are just coddling the media and are obviously just there for pogi points. Shame on them.

Drama and Propaganda gyud... I hope more people in the government grow a conscience and shoot themselves.

IF Jinggoy and Trillanes helped Reyes grow a conscience which led to him killing himself.. I would say that they did a service to the country... .I hope many others will follow suit. Baga' na kaayo ug mga nawng mga people in the government. They forget that they are first and foremost public servants....

P.S. to Jinggoy and Trillanes... please invite Ombudsman Guttierez and GMA to the senate.... I hope they also grow a conscience and kill themselves to save the people the trouble of impeaching/prosecuting them.

If the Filipinos didnt vote for people like Trillanes...we'd still have Ange Reyes alive today enjoying his 50 million pabaon and His wife would still go on vacation every 4 mos to the U.S. and to HK and SG every 2 mos. and live in their house in California. Hah!

Im not here to make conspiracy theories.. the phone call between GMA and Reyes was confirmed by ret. Navy Commodore Rex Robles... details of the conversation were on the newspapers the day after Reyes killed himself.

Finally... Let me tell you something..... Blood was on reyes' hands the moment he accepted corruption as a way of life in the AFP.

At that very moment... he killed whatever honor and reputation he had. It just took 2 senators to make him realize it.

I hope dili maapil imong idol ni.
